  • urban working class has the most to gain from democracy because "democratic change gives members of this class greater control of economic and other resources in society, which ultimately gives members of t his class greater control over their own lives."
    • in my own words: democracy gives the lower class power to vote who they want to be in charge and who they want to rule them. Because they get to choose the leaders, the leaders must appease (to?) them if they want to get elected. In essence, then, the working class is in control. They don't need to go to great lengths to get their issues on the agenda because any potential leader will see their demands and meet them, presuming the leader wants their votes (and he does).
